Legendary Surfer and Actor, Tamayo Perry, Dies in Tragic Shark Attack

Renowned surfer and lifeguard Tamayo Perry has passed away following a fatal shark attack on the East Side of Oahu.

Perry, 49, was known for his exceptional surfing skills, having taken on the legendary waves of Hawaii's Pipeline and Teahupoo in Tahiti. He also made appearances in popular films such as "Blue Crush" and "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides." In addition to his surfing and acting careers, Perry served as a lifeguard for Honolulu Ocean Safety.

The tragic incident occurred on January 17, 2023, while Perry was practicing surfing at his favorite spot, Keawaula Beach. Witnesses reported seeing a large shark attack Perry, causing severe injuries. Despite the efforts of paramedics and lifeguards, Perry succumbed to his wounds.
